Hey Plies my name is Sheena and I’m going through a situation also where my boyfriend was set up by someone who he thought was cool, but he turned out to be a snitch for the Feds. Now my boyfriend is doing a 10 year sentence because of it. I think the system is so unfair to our black males because like you said in your song “black people are gulity until proven innocent”. I thank you alot for your CD The Real Testament. I listen to it everyday and I just smile because the CD made me realize that it’s still a real nigga out here on these streets. hey whats up plies first off i want to say ur sexy as hell and about this jail thing im going through it with my husband hes facing fourth degree felony on domestic battery from me ive been with him off and on for 8 years hes my babies daddy i tried to make things right even waited for him after a 6 month sentence for theft stayed at his mamas so he knew i really loved him and he promised me when he got out things would be different that prison life changed him he wouldnt put his hands on me ever again and he wouldnt cheat on me ever again well on june 1st this year i caught him cheatin i left him at 2 in the morning and the next night he showed up at a my chicks house and put his hands on me again so i gots to go around sportin black eye and bruises my friends parents came home called the law and so on and so on but DAMN prison dont change no one i dont see how they think that shit helps i cant back out of the issue of pressing charges cause if i dont show up they told me they would issue a warrant for me and all i cry out for is how i wish he could be different if he didnt want to be with me why did he do this i dont want him to go back to prison hes my babies daddy and needs to be there for them i know for sure there will never be me and him again cause ive tried with all my heart he just didnt want the future with me as bad as i wanted us to be a family it hurts my heart but its kool i just wish he could be different and no jail isnt solving shit he since then has been arrested for menacing fleeing and eluding with my 2 year old in the car child endangerment and caught with 2 uncontrolled substances i want to cry for him and lord knows i want to help him but i cant i have 2 babies to take care of and i dont want them going down the same path there father is i just wish there was something else out there they could do to help people that struggle and has struggled growing up and thinks its ok to do when they become an adult when its not i just have to say i totally all the way agree with you that the court systems need to do something different locking people behind bars isnt the answer i just wish i knew what was cause i feel not only for my husband but for everyone who has ever delt with the POLICE so they call themselves cause once they got your number u might as well face it your done any time u ride by the popo”s its some crazy shit…. well you got my comment im sure alot of people feel the same……………………..Peace out plies get that next cd out so i can grab it up love the testament OUTSKI later
I know you will not remember me homie. But I met you back in 04 in the edison mall when i was runnig a cell phone store there. Anyway, I want to say thank you for the song 100yrs. This song reing close to my heart because of thei shit i went through, and still going thorugh. Now I did not get caught up in the drug game. But I am still caught up in the system one the same. These Cracka’s Gage me 45day for a bounced check THAT I PAID!, then hit me with 3 yrs probation, and this was my FIRST offence. I paid off all the fines and shit. and moved out of the city. Only to Fine out they issued a warrent for my arrest again WITH NO FUCKING Bond. Because I did not come to court. Even though the paper work said I did not have to come if my community service was done. and they had all the shit 3 months bvefor the court date. Case in point. I had to get a damn Paid lawyer @ 3500 to fix this shit. But now because I am a convicted felon, I cant vote, hold office or own a gun to protect my family. So ya damn right Plies! Plies!! My name is Javan and Im from Birmingham, AL. My cousin just got sentenced to life about 2 weeks ago for a murder that happend in 2002. He allegedly murdered his friend stripped the car, disposed the body and the car. PRISION SNITCHES is the reason my cousin got the life sentence because he was already doing a bid for a weapons charge prior to him recieving life. And goon this shit forreal u can go to http://www.al.com and go to the birminghamtimes newspaper, type in marcus watts in the search engine and it will pull up the three stories they ran about the whole situation, and them crackas exposed the hood to the fullest. I also have my bestfriend doing a four year strech for robbery, this nigga was like my brotha we learned how to talk to hoes, fuck hoes and fight together, Im talking bout since diapers goon. I miss this nigga so much man. but whats crazy is his situation is very similar to yours, his older brother is incarcerated also and as gents we tried to take after the shit the older guys was doing and he sort of picked up on the shit and idolized his brother for being the man of the house when mama was doin all she could. I listen to the song about da brothers lock up and how there so called friends and there women want them when they are out and on top. But when a brother needs something from them; they act like they dont know him. Well my ex boyfriend was that brother. He did for all his friends, and his other women. But even though we arent together because of those things; he is in need now and I cant; no, wont let him be without. He has been locked up for three years and I have made sure he has everything he needs or wants. I dont know why; but we always was there for one another regardless of who we were with. He went to prison for some bullshit. because the cops couldnt get him on anything; they sent him up the river for 20 years for running his girlfriend off the road who was with another brother and stole 2gs from him. I would of done more than run her off the road. lol. Well actually he just got them to pull over; he didnt violent run them off like the cops said he did. But he is getting out next year; thank god. I hope he will do good when he gets out. To the law; get real criminals like the child molester; child abusers; and criminals that deserve to be locked up. Earn our tax money!!!! Man 90 % of the people that are on this forum talking about they feel this shit have never been locked up, or commited a crime in their life. So how do fuck do you feel something, yall mothafuckaz are just trying to jump on a niggaz dick because everybody else is. All these rap niggaz are claiming that they are making records for the streets, and street niggaz! Well it’s a proven fact that street niggaz are not the ones going to the record stores and making you mothafuckaz go platnium. Most of these records are purchased buy surburban kids they are so far removed from the ghetto that it’s a shame. You don’t see no nigga from the ghetto running to the record store to buy a $15 cd every week. Most niggaz burn the cd from somebody else, or buy it bootleg. Look through a ghetto niggaz’ cd case and see how many “original” cd’s he has. So all that bull-shit about keeping it hood is false. It’s them lil white kids that are buying most of that shit, or like i said niggaz that live in middle class or upper class nieghborhoods. They are the real fan base. People aint buying the shit because they can relate to it, they just jump on the band wagon because it’s the next new thing. And that’s the truth.
I’ve served five years in prison, and I’m serving five years on probation now, with communtiy service and mothafuckin fines!! I don’t blame the system I blame me. Life is all about choices, I chose this lifestyle. Didn’t no cracker put no gun to my head and tell me to ride down I-75 and bring that dope back to Georgia. I hustled because I wanted too. Just like other niggaz do. It’s a choice. So when you get caught you can’t cry and scream that the system is unfair. Shit nigga you already knew that, before you made the choice.
And another thing is most niggaz get time based on the circumstances surrounding the case. See that’s the part Plies is leaving out. He’s not lieing about nothing ,he’s just telling half truths. If you’re going to tell it, tell the whole truth.
For example when I went to court for the last crime that I commited, which was felony posession of marijuanna, posession of a firearm during to commission or a crime, driving with a suspended liscence, and obstuction of an officer. I received 5 years probation, when the pistol itself carried a prison sentence of 10 years. I was out on bail so I had the chance to sit in the court room until my name was called. I saw several niggaz and crackers that went before the judge ahead of me, get “bammed” as Plies put it, for lessor or the same shit that I was there for . Mothafuckaz were getting 5, and 10 years in prison. But you know what the difference was? Circumstances surrounding the case. For example when I got caught I was working a legitimate job, that I had references from. I was in community college, and didn’t have my dope sacked up in (individual bags) which shows your intent. See that’s the type of shit them crackers look at. Plus I had a paid lawyer. See some niggaz was in there with drug charges and they didn’t have no mothafuckin job, wasn’t in school, had dope sacked up , no paid lawyers etc. Couldn’t make bail so they showed up in jail uniforms and shackles looking guilty already! See all that shit plays and important role when you’re in that court room. That’s what you lil young mothafuckaz need to understand. It’s all about image, when that judge is getting ready to hand you a sentence he’s going to sentence you based on his image of you.
For example let’s say that you have a lil white kid from the surburbs, and he goes out and burns down a school. And he gets arrested. A lil black kid from the prodjects goes out and does the same and gets arrested too. This is the first time both of them have ever been in trouble. Ok that lil white kid has his day in court, his mom who works at Bank of America shows up and testifies that he is really a good kid, His dad who works at Coca Cola shows up and does the same. The judge sides with them and the kid gets 12 months probation, because the have painted a good overall image of this kid, and it appears that a probation sentence might be appropriate. On the other hand the black kid has his day in court in front of the same judge. However before sentencing the judge inquires about his family, his father is not in court because he’s already incarcerated, His mother shows up but she’s on welfare and only testifies about how hard it has been raising him with no money and no father in the household, thinking she’s painting a good picture. But in reality she’s doing more damage, all that shows is that she’s inadequate. Now that judge will assume that under the circumstances that kid will probably not be able to comply with a probation sentence, becasue he’s simply not in the right environment to fly straight. He’s broke as fuck, no father figure, and mom can’t raise him. So that kid will probably end up going into some type of institution like a Y.D.C. or group home.
The majority of the time it’s the individual that’s being senteced situation, it has nothing to do with race. But of course racisim does exist. It’s just like the Jena 6 situation man all them lil niggaz had records already!! Them white boys were clean. That’s self explanatory. See mothafuckaz be telling yall half truths and leaving important information out. But the main thing that you need to know is that you control your own destiny. Not some cracker or rapper. You can be whatever you want to be in life. Just set realistic goals and apply yourself. One thing about money, it can always be made but the key is to save. And you can take the first step by stop buying these bull-shit cd’s and invest in your future.

Im only 17 so they could have locked my ass up or sent me off but thank god they didnt do to much that i thought was going to happen, they kicked me out of school for the second time and im on probation for like 3 months. My boyfriend is serving 6 years, my brother in law is serving 10 years, my mans BubbleGum is serving 5 years, my mans Q is serving 25 years, lem & mikey doin life - FREE MARSHALL! I’m glad someone else realizes that there’s no point in giving ya dreams away to the system, money ain’t everything - it can only make things better not perfect! At 13, I spent 6 months in a prison for drugs - a week after I came home I watched my boyfriend get shot & killed right in front of me - it’s not worth it. Ima single mother, raisin my son + my nephew - it’s so hard tryna do shit the right way, but I work two jobs & handle mines - if you got fam locked up, be strong & keep ya head up!

Hey boo. Wassup? Congrats on your new album release. I’m soooooo happy for you. NEways, my mom and stepdad decided to take us (me and my brother and sisters) to the rodeo at angola prison. OMG….lol…. I was like are you crazy? You wanna take us to a prison and buy stuff and watch men get thrown off of bulls, horses and watever. I ended up going neways. When we finally roll up to the gate or entrance, my heart was pounding. I was actually scared and wasn’t even there to stay loool. We got there and parked the car and got out. We walked through the food court to where they make and design things. Let me tell you one thing, there were some beautiful and very artistic designs. It’s ashame how talented some of these guys are and they go and fuck up by making the wrong decisions. NEways me and my mama wander off to a boy that made jewelry. Man he was cute. light skin, hair cut smooth, gold in his mouth, tattoos all over, and tall. I can tell he was interested in me by the way he was looking at me. We talked for a lil while about his jewelry. He was just 19 (so he claims) and in there for a drug bust. How sad is that. The thing that hurted me the most is that there are mostly young black males in there. Some were as young as 17. Ashame.

I think that it good that you are looking out for those Brothers that are locked up. Everysince I was 8 years old my brother have been in and out of jail for all my life. I am 25 years old and he still in jail, alot of people can’t fell where you coming from but I can first hand because I am the baby in the family and I never had him around he was always in jail for stupid things, don’t get me wrong my dad was there untill the day he died, but there was always something missing in my heart, and that was him. I haven’t been to see my brother since he got locked up not that I can’t afford it, I just can’t bring myself to see him and I know I should but Plies the last time my brother got locked up I had to be the one to go to the jail station and give him some news that would change his life forever my father died, and since he been locked up this time, my heart can’t get pass that because that was the hardest thing I ever done. Don’t get me wrong I always except his calls and I always send money to him by my mom and my sister, but I can’t go visited him and I know I should because life is so short, but how do I get over this pain that I feel. In my heart he let his family down again he suppose to be there since my father is gone but he’s not I didn’t grow up with my brother he’s like a stranger to me. I don’t want to win this contest because I know there some people that I haven’t seen there family in years and this would be a good chance for them to see them for the Holidays, but I know where you coming from the song Bidlong bring me to tears everytime I hear it because I think about my brother. Hey plies..i love the website..my uncle was sentenced to 25 years in prison because he was robbing people and he was accused of murder. My family was so scandolous because they the ones who told on him. I have never met him outside of those prison walls. I havent been to see him since i was about 11 or 12 and i am 19 now. He is not the far only an hour away but seeing him like that kills me. Looking at my grandmother hold on to life to see her son again outside of jail makes me want to cry. He is the oldest of three and my mom is the baby. My aunt died of heart failure at 39 so my grandma jus got my mom to support her. I dont need help going to see him its jus nice to kno i can come on here and relate to others in the same situation. Thank you so much for makin the website..

You speak of how the prison population is increasing then you and other rappers rap about money, clothing, demoralizing women, vehicles etc. You and other hip hop artist are sending out a negative message to our youth. In contrast, if you want to decrease the prison population then change the terminology you all are rapping about because our children are looking at those videos on their tube and want what you all are depicting on television. In a teenager mind, he is thinking “how can I get the cars, money, rims, women,” they are going to find the quickest way and start selling drugs to get those materials. In additional to that, our young men are not thinking about the consequences behind selling illicit drugs. I’m not a fan and I’m not trying to demoralize you but if you want to see change in criminal justice system lets start at hip hop. I remember the nite that they ambushed our house while i was in my fathers hand although it occurred so many years ago it seems like it was yesterday. I really dont communicate with him due to my mother and my fathers relationship but i receive letters. Sometimes at night all i hear is him on the phone saying daddy will be home soon baby daddy loves u. When i was younger i believed it but now that im older and i understand the situation i dont wait on it because i know that it isnt true he wont be home no time soon so therefore all i can do is pray!

He allegedly murdered his friend stripped the car, disposed the body and the car. PRISION SNITCHES is the reason my cousin got the life sentence because he was already doing a bid for a weapons charge prior to him recieving life. I listen to the song about da brothers lock up and how there so called friends and there women want them when they are out and on top. But when a brother needs something from them; they act like they dont know him. Well my ex boyfriend was that brother. He did for all his friends, and his other women. But even though we arent together because of those things; he is in need now and I cant; no, wont let him be without. He has been locked up for three years and I have made sure he has everything he needs or wants. I dont know why; but we always was there for one another regardless of who we were with. He went to prison for some bullshit. because the cops couldnt get him on anything; they sent him up the river for 20 years for running his girlfriend off the road who was with another brother and stole 2gs from him. I would of done more than run her off the road. lol. Well actually he just got them to pull over; he didnt violent run them off like the cops said he did. But he is getting out next year; thank god. I hope he will do good when he gets out. To the law; get real criminals like the child molester; child abusers; and criminals that deserve to be locked up. Earn our tax money!!!! I’ve served five years in prison, and I’m serving five years on probation now, with communtiy service and mothafuckin fines!! I don’t blame the system I blame me. Life is all about choices, I chose this lifestyle. Didn’t no cracker put no gun to my head and tell me to ride down I-75 and bring that dope back to Georgia. I hustled because I wanted too. Just like other niggaz do. It’s a choice. So when you get caught you can’t cry and scream that the system is unfair. Shit nigga you already knew that, before you made the choice.
And another thing is most niggaz get time based on the circumstances surrounding the case. See that’s the part Plies is leaving out. He’s not lieing about nothing ,he’s just telling half truths. If you’re going to tell it, tell the whole truth.
For example when I went to court for the last crime that I commited, which was felony posession of marijuanna, posession of a firearm during to commission or a crime, driving with a suspended liscence, and obstuction of an officer. I received 5 years probation, when the pistol itself carried a prison sentence of 10 years. I was out on bail so I had the chance to sit in the court room until my name was called. I saw several niggaz and crackers that went before the judge ahead of me, get “bammed” as Plies put it, for lessor or the same shit that I was there for . Mothafuckaz were getting 5, and 10 years in prison. But you know what the difference was? Circumstances surrounding the case. For example when I got caught I was working a legitimate job, that I had references from. I was in community college, and didn’t have my dope sacked up in (individual bags) which shows your intent. See that’s the type of shit them crackers look at. Plus I had a paid lawyer. See some niggaz was in there with drug charges and they didn’t have no mothafuckin job, wasn’t in school, had dope sacked up , no paid lawyers etc. Couldn’t make bail so they showed up in jail uniforms and shackles looking guilty already! See all that shit plays and important role when you’re in that court room. That’s what you lil young mothafuckaz need to understand. It’s all about image, when that judge is getting ready to hand you a sentence he’s going to sentence you based on his image of you.
For example let’s say that you have a lil white kid from the surburbs, and he goes out and burns down a school. And he gets arrested. A lil black kid from the prodjects goes out and does the same and gets arrested too. This is the first time both of them have ever been in trouble. Ok that lil white kid has his day in court, his mom who works at Bank of America shows up and testifies that he is really a good kid, His dad who works at Coca Cola shows up and does the same. The judge sides with them and the kid gets 12 months probation, because the have painted a good overall image of this kid, and it appears that a probation sentence might be appropriate. On the other hand the black kid has his day in court in front of the same judge. However before sentencing the judge inquires about his family, his father is not in court because he’s already incarcerated, His mother shows up but she’s on welfare and only testifies about how hard it has been raising him with no money and no father in the household, thinking she’s painting a good picture. But in reality she’s doing more damage, all that shows is that she’s inadequate. Now that judge will assume that under the circumstances that kid will probably not be able to comply with a probation sentence, becasue he’s simply not in the right environment to fly straight. He’s broke as fuck, no father figure, and mom can’t raise him. So that kid will probably end up going into some type of institution like a Y.D.C. or group home.
The majority of the time it’s the individual that’s being senteced situation, it has nothing to do with race. But of course racisim does exist. It’s just like the Jena 6 situation man all them lil niggaz had records already!! Them white boys were clean. That’s self explanatory. See mothafuckaz be telling yall half truths and leaving important information out. But the main thing that you need to know is that you control your own destiny. Not some cracker or rapper. You can be whatever you want to be in life. Just set realistic goals and apply yourself. One thing about money, it can always be made but the key is to save. And you can take the first step by stop buying these bull-shit cd’s and invest in your future.

I was like are you crazy? You wanna take us to a prison and buy stuff and watch men get thrown off of bulls, horses and watever. I ended up going neways. When we finally roll up to the gate or entrance, my heart was pounding. I was actually scared and wasn’t even there to stay loool. We got there and parked the car and got out. We walked through the food court to where they make and design things. Let me tell you one thing, there were some beautiful and very artistic designs. It’s ashame how talented some of these guys are and they go and fuck up by making the wrong decisions. NEways me and my mama wander off to a boy that made jewelry. Man he was cute. light skin, hair cut smooth, gold in his mouth, tattoos all over, and tall. I can tell he was interested in me by the way he was looking at me. We talked for a lil while about his jewelry. He was just 19 (so he claims) and in there for a drug bust. How sad is that. The thing that hurted me the most is that there are mostly young black males in there. Some were as young as 17. Ashame.

I think that it good that you are looking out for those Brothers that are locked up. Everysince I was 8 years old my brother have been in and out of jail for all my life. I am 25 years old and he still in jail, alot of people can’t fell where you coming from but I can first hand because I am the baby in the family and I never had him around he was always in jail for stupid things, don’t get me wrong my dad was there untill the day he died, but there was always something missing in my heart, and that was him. I haven’t been to see my brother since he got locked up not that I can’t afford it, I just can’t bring myself to see him and I know I should but Plies the last time my brother got locked up I had to be the one to go to the jail station and give him some news that would change his life forever my father died, and since he been locked up this time, my heart can’t get pass that because that was the hardest thing I ever done. Don’t get me wrong I always except his calls and I always send money to him by my mom and my sister, but I can’t go visited him and I know I should because life is so short, but how do I get over this pain that I feel. In my heart he let his family down again he suppose to be there since my father is gone but he’s not I didn’t grow up with my brother he’s like a stranger to me. Hey plies..i love the website..my uncle was sentenced to 25 years in prison because he was robbing people and he was accused of murder. My family was so scandolous because they the ones who told on him. I have never met him outside of those prison walls. I havent been to see him since i was about 11 or 12 and i am 19 now. He is not the far only an hour away but seeing him like that kills me. Looking at my grandmother hold on to life to see her son again outside of jail makes me want to cry. He is the oldest of three and my mom is the baby. My aunt died of heart failure at 39 so my grandma jus got my mom to support her. You speak of how the prison population is increasing then you and other rappers rap about money, clothing, demoralizing women, vehicles etc. You and other hip hop artist are sending out a negative message to our youth. In contrast, if you want to decrease the prison population then change the terminology you all are rapping about because our children are looking at those videos on their tube and want what you all are depicting on television. In additional to that, our young men are not thinking about the consequences behind selling illicit drugs. Hey wuz up? i am a 17 year old female and my father is currently in prison has been in prison since i was 2 and dosent get out until 2014 honestly i dont know what he did and at some points i dont want to know. I remember the nite that they ambushed our house while i was in my fathers hand although it occurred so many years ago it seems like it was yesterday. I really dont communicate with him due to my mother and my fathers relationship but i receive letters.
