I just read the story on Genarlow Wilson. Kinda sound like my lil brother. My brother is an aspiring rapper. Rated the best in our city and he was also going to be a paid fighter. Although his story is not as bad, it’s similar. He was sleeping with a 16 year old broad who said she was 18. He was only 20 but they still gave him 4 years. FUCKED UP SYSTEM WE GOT!! Yes this system is fucked up when they give a person 15 years mandatory for committing a crime before the 3 years is up, all because they made it where a nigga has to sign paper stating that they will not commit some certain crimes within 3 years of there release my man has been locked down in the Florida Department of Corrections since August 1999 doing 15 mandatory and we hired a lawyer to try and get some of his time knocked off and the lawyer took 2 years and $23,000 to tell us he has to serve all 15 years

Ms. March, Mr. Wilson is where I am from, I was born in Atlanta, but raised in Florida, I hate to hear what happened to your little brother and I can relate, I was 22 years old and I met a girl who at the time I thought was 16, back then the consent age was 16 years old back in the 90’s down here in Florida before that changed it to 18 years old, I didn’t know that she was 14 years old until I was arrested, them crackers tried to charge me with Sexual Battery, later on they drop to a lesser cause I confessed to having her consent and she even said that I didn’t rape her, I was in jail for 6 months, I was sentenced to 4 years and 4 months with 5 years probation, them crackers gave me a split sentence which was illegal as hell, but I was in the court room was a cracker and he had a charge of molesting a 5 year old girl and they gave him probation, them crackers was trying to give me 9 to 12 years in prison and I had consentual sex, the system is fucked up, they sent me to prison but they let a child molester out on probation unfair. My life is fucked up cause of this and the bad part is my face is on the internet, have to check in every 6 months, tell the sheriff department if I moved, going to school , get driving license, have a number on my I.D. to let people know that I am labeled as a sexual offender, I can forget about having children or step-children cause I can’t take them to the park or attend any school unless I go to them crackers at the school and the sheriff department know that I am out there, don’t get me wrong I do take responsibility for my actions. Mr. Wilson was sentenced unfairly and when you have a sex offense and you’re black, them crackers are going to slam you even if you have the girl’s consent.
I see the news and I get infuriated by how the teachers ,polices, politicians, fireman which are all whites have charges of having sex with children and they get a slap on the wrist or get less time in prison. I seen the news and they reduced his sentence to a mismeanor charge and I am glad the brother is free. It shows you that no matter where you go the system is fucked up, Ms. March’s brother, Mr. Wilson and myself are the examples of how the system sentence blacks with consentual sex charges. I am not going to lie, it’s hard but I keep my head up and pray to Jah. While I was in prison I started to read books on different things and I read books on Africa, and read about the struggle here in this country and that’s what keep me going on with my life, so I encourage you Ms. March to have your brother to read some books, a good book to start with is the Autobiography of Malcolm X, and you do as well, go to thetalkingdrum.com and read the Willie Lynch speech and you will see how deep this is. Don’t forget you must pitch the OLD black MALE vs. the YOUNG black Male, and the YOUNG black Male against the OLD black male. Everyone’s heard about the Jenna 6. Well, the town I’m from (actually 45 miles away) is where the TULIA 46 occured. It happened about 6 or 7 years BEFORE the JENNA 6. I’m pretty sure some of you heard about it. It’s when 46 people were convicted and sent to prison for “dealing drugs”. 43 of them were black!!!! And the ones that were white, hang around blacks. I know how Genarlow wilsons’s family must feel. Thats kind o what I was going through. My boyfriend was hot in the pants. We have two children together. He also has 3 other children form other women. I love him and before he was but in prison he asked me to marry him. But he tryed to screw the wrong chick. SHe told him she was 20 and she did look 20 but she was 17. So know he is locked up. He gets out In about 6 to 7 mounths. MY daughter and son have been without a father for so long. I feel for his family and I am happy that is his free now and I look forward to my day.
